ATSF train 93 with engine 80 and 2 cars is crossing over US 87 at Canyon TX. West of here, the Plainview District heads south to Lubbock. Train 93 will use the Plainview District to reach its destination. US 87 was the main route between Amarillo and Lubbock long before Interstate 27 was built east of Canyon.
