A good time to be at Raton NM. ATSF train 1st 17, the El Capitan, with engine 47C leaving the depot while 2nd 17, the Super Chief, with engine 21 arriving for its station stop. During the summer months and the Thanksgiving to New Year holiday period, trains 17 and 18 ran in separate sections.
