Mulvane was an interesting location on the ATSF main. It consisted of two mains (North and South mains) that ran on separate ROW from East Junction to West Junction. The North Main from East Jct to Mulvane was built in 1887. The line from Mulvane to West Jct was built about a decade earlier in 1879. The South Main was built in 1927 to bypass the town.
